• Beschreibung: Angiotensin II is a peptide hormone that is secreted by the kidneys. It stimulates the release of aldosterone and causes vasoconstriction, leading to an increase in blood pressure. Angiotensin II is also involved in other physiological functions such as the regulation of fluid balance, electrolyte levels, and blood coagulation. The drug is used to treat congestive heart failure and high blood pressure. Sar1-Angiotensin II has been shown to inhibit transcriptional regulation by binding to the angiotensin receptor type 1 (AT1). This binding disrupts conformational changes in the receptor, preventing signal transduction from occurring and decreasing the activity of enzymes such as protein kinase A, which are needed for activation of transcription factors.
