4-[(6-Acryloyloxy)hexyloxy]-4'-cyanobiphenyl is a light-stable, high molecular weight acrylate with a viscosity of 2,500 cps at 25°C. It has good resistance to water and most solvents. This product can be used as an additive for textile fibers or as a coagulant in water treatment systems. The polymerization reaction may be modified by the addition of a catalyst, such as diethyl zinc or cobalt naphthenate.
