• Beschreibung: Dermcidin-1L is a protein that belongs to the family of ion channels. It is a ligand for the receptor DCC. Dermcidin-1L has been shown to activate the receptor and induce chemotaxis in human neutrophils, which is mediated via activation of phospholipase C and elevation of intracellular calcium levels. This peptide also binds to the receptor LRP6 and inhibits Wnt signaling by competitively binding with LRP6-ligand complexes. Dermcidin-1L has been shown to inhibit proliferation of various cell lines, including pancreatic cancer cells, breast cancer cells, and leukemia cells.
