Beschreibung

Spiramine A is a diterpene that has been isolated from the genus Spiraea. This molecule has been shown to have neuroprotective and antiplatelet properties, as well as inhibitory effects on mitochondrial functions. Spiramine A has also been found to be able to activate specific proteins and inhibit tumor growth in mice. It can be used for the treatment of various types of cancer. Spiramine A is extracted from ethanol extract of the plant’s leaves by boiling in water and extracting with ethyl acetate.
