Produktinformation
7-(Benzyloxy)-4-chloro-6-methoxyquinoline-3-carbonitrile is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that binds to the ATP binding site of the enzyme. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells and is effective against certain types of leukemia. The binding affinity varies with different amino acids, which may be due to hydrogen bonding or intramolecular hydrogen bonds. 7-(Benzyloxy)-4-chloro-6-methoxyquinoline-3-carbonitrile has been shown to bind to the ATP binding site by an intramolecular hydrogen bond formed between its hydrazide group and a noncompetitive dihedral angle. The x-ray study revealed that it takes on conformation in which the heteroaromatic ring is bent towards the adjacent benzene ring, forming a hydrazone bond. Parameters such as molecular geometry and molecular volume were also studied using computational methods.
