KI-7 is a biochemical compound that belongs to the class of cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitors. It is used in research for its inhibitory properties on 5-hydroxytryptamine 2A receptors, and as a potential drug for the treatment of depression. KI-7 also has inhibitory properties on α subunits of PDEs, which are enzymes that break down cyclic nucleotides such as cAMP and cGMP.
