Beschreibung

Dioscin is a natural product that belongs to the class of flavonoids. It has been shown to significantly inhibit cell proliferation, induce apoptosis, and induce differentiation in 3T3-L1 preadipocytes. Dioscin also inhibits the growth of HL-60 cells by binding to their cell nuclei and reduces the expression of growth factor β1. This compound also exhibits anti-atherosclerotic effects by inhibiting lipid metabolism. Dioscin inhibits the activation of NF-κB, which is a transcription factor that regulates the expression of genes involved in inflammatory cascades and cellular responses to stress. Dioscin also binds to Toll-like receptor (TLR) 4, inducing TLR4 signaling pathways and increasing proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-6 and TNFα.
