5,5-Dimethyl-1,3-bis(oxiranylmethyl)imidazolidine-2,4-dione is a trifunctional stabilizer that is used in the production of polyurethane foams. It can be used as a bifunctional crosslinking agent and a transfer agent for polyvinyl alcohol. 5,5-Dimethyl-1,3-bis(oxiranylmethyl)imidazolidine-2,4-dione has an aliphatic hydrocarbon chain with two nitrogen atoms and one disulfide bond. This compound is also known as bis(2-(dimethylamino)-1-(oxiranylmethyl))methane and is soluble in organic solvents such as styrene and polyvinyl acetate.
