Beschreibung

Ethyl 1,6-dihydro-2-methoxy-6-oxopyrimidine-5-carboxylate is a chemical pesticide that inhibits the enzymatic activity of tyrosinase, an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of tyrosine to dopa and dopamine. It has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in animal models and to induce apoptosis in vitro. Ethyl 1,6-dihydro-2-methoxy-6-oxopyrimidine-5-carboxylate also has anti inflammatory properties and can be used as a topical agent for the treatment of skin inflammation. This compound is highly soluble in ethanol, acetone, acetonitrile, ethyl acetate, and dichloromethane. The optimum concentration for this compound is at 0.1% (v/v) in ethanol or acetone.
