N2-(3,4-Dimethylphenyl)-6-((4-(p-tolyl)piperazin-1-yl)methyl)-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diamine is a potent and selective inhibitor of the voltage gated sodium channel (VGSC). It has been shown to inhibit VGSC with an IC50 value of 3.5 nM on rat brain synaptosomes. N2-(3,4-Dimethylphenyl)-6-((4-(p-tolyl)piperazin-1-yl)methyl)-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diamine is a novel inhibitor that is structurally distinct from other VGSC inhibitors. It has no affinity for any other protein targets in the proteome.
