It can also be used for the regeneration of phosphazenes from their corresponding salts. P2Et Phosphazene is synthesized by electrochemical oxidation of ethylphosphoramide at an anode in a solution containing cinnamates. This allows for the synthesis of synthons that contain aldehydes, halides, and amide groups on one side of the molecule and palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions on the other side.
