Beschreibung

2-Acetylcoumaric acid is a bioactive form of o-coumaric acid. It can be synthesized by the condensation of butyryl chloride and acetyl chloride with an alcohol solvent. 2-Acetylcoumaric acid has been shown to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer properties. The esters of 2-acetylcoumaric acid are used in the development of drugs for cancer treatment. 2-Acetylcoumaric acid is also used as a reagent to derivatize other compounds for use in research or drug development.
