β-Tocopherol is a type of vitamin E that belongs to the family of tocopherols. It is an antioxidant and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in muscle cells. β-Tocopherol inhibits the proliferation of myoblasts (muscle cells) by interfering with the expression of muscle cell genes.
