Produktinformation
2-Amino-3-iodonaphthalene is a nucleophile that reacts with the a-ring of benzonitrile in an electrophilic aromatic substitution reaction. This reaction yields a nitrile group, which can be converted to an amide. The synthesis of 2-amino-3-iodonaphthalene has been shown to be activated by sulphite and hydrochloric acid. This product is an active analogue for cancer cell treatment. It can be synthesized from 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzaldehyde, which is first reacted with nitric acid and then with sulphuric acid. The resulting product is then purified and reacted with ammonium hydroxide or sodium hydroxide to produce 2-amino-3-iodonaphthalene.
