CoX-2, also known as cyclooxygenase-2, is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandin H 2 . Dppi has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of Cox-2 in vitro and in vivo with low toxicity. Dppi has been shown to have no effect on x-ray diffraction data or electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, which suggests that it does not bind to other proteins. In addition, Dppi has been shown to be cardioprotective and is nontoxic at high doses.
