Ansofaxine hydrochloride is a modulating agent that binds to the reuptake site of the neurotransmitter serotonin. It has been shown to be effective in clinical studies for the treatment of depression, and may be useful in the management of other disorders such as anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and posttraumatic stress disorder.
