Ruxolitinib is a racemic analogue of the janus tyrosine kinase inhibitor Ruxolitinib and it is active specifically on sub-types JAK1 and JAK2 with IC50 values in the nanomolar range. JAK1 and JAK2 are kinases involved in the regulation of hematopoiesis. Clinically applied to the treatment of intermediate and high-risk myelofibrosis, ruxolitinib is usually well tolerated by patients.
