Beschreibung

Isocarapanaubine is a hydrogen bond inhibitor that inhibits the activity of neisosposinine and neisosperma, which are oxindole alkaloids. Isocarapanaubine has been shown to inhibit neurotransmission in mammals by inhibiting the release of neurotransmitters. It also has an inhibitory effect on the central nervous system, although its mechanism is unknown. Isocarapanaubine is a structural analogue of isogambirdine and nmr spectra show it to be an N-oxide derivative.
