Beschreibung:
6-Chloro-N-phenylpyrazin-2-amine is a potent inhibitor of lysine methyltransferases. It inhibits the activity of the enzyme, preventing it from transferring a methyl group to lysine. This inhibition prevents DNA replication and rRNA transcription, leading to cell death. 6-Chloro-N-phenylpyrazin-2-amine has been shown to inhibit the activity of histone methyltransferases in human cells and can be used as an anticancer drug because it inhibits cell growth.
