ZLDI-8 is a prognostic marker that can be used to predict the response of a patient with non-small-cell lung cancer to chemotherapy. The assay detects the presence of ZLDI-8 protein in cell culture, and can be used to predict the response of a patient with non-small-cell lung cancer to chemotherapy. The level of ZLDI-8 protein in cells is not affected by etoposide treatment, indicating that it is not an oncogene.
