MPC 6827 hydrochloride has been shown to bind with hydrogen bonds to coumarin derivatives in aqueous solution. The mechanism of this drug's action on cancer cells is not fully understood, but it may be due to its ability to inhibit glycolysis at the level of pyruvate kinase.
