Beschreibung:Ppardelta is a partial agonist of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor delta (PPARδ). Ppardelta has been shown to activate PPARδ and induce hypoglycemic effects in vitro. PPARδ is a nuclear receptor that belongs to the family of transcription factors that regulate energy metabolism, lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, and inflammation. Studies have shown that PPARδ plays an important role in regulating atherosclerotic lesion formation in vivo. Further studies show that ppardelta inhibits oxidative injury induced by hydrogen peroxide and prevents neuronal death induced by excitotoxicity. This drug also binds to DNA and has been shown to bind specifically to regions where it can inhibit gene expression.
