Beschreibung:
MOCAc-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ile-Leu-Phe-Phe-Arg-Leu-Lys(Dnp)-D-Arg is a peptide with ion channel activity. It is a potent activator of potassium channels and has been used in research as a tool for studying ion channel function. MOCAc is not an inhibitor of voltage sensitive sodium channels but does inhibit calcium currents. MOCAc also has been shown to be a ligand for the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor and is able to bind to the beta subunit of this receptor. This peptide binds to the alpha subunit of the calcium channel, leading to inhibition of calcium currents and activation of potassium channels.
