Beschreibung:2,3-Dihydro-4H-1,3-benzoxazin-2-one-3-acetamide is a high purity and potent competitive antagonist of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) that binds to the extracellular domain of the α7 subtype. It can be used as a research tool in pharmacology and cell biology to study ligand binding interactions with nAChRs. It has been shown to inhibit the binding of acetylcholine in rat brain synaptosomes. 2,3-Dihydro-4H-1,3-benzoxazin-2-one-3-acetamide is also an inhibitor of protein synthesis and has been shown to bind to the peptide chain elongation factor 2 (EF2) by inhibiting its activity.
