Beschreibung:CE(TMHD)4 is a group p2 transport phosphor. It has anisotropic emission, which means that the brightness of the light emitted varies depending on the angle from which it is viewed. This property makes it useful for projection screens and computer monitors. CE(TMHD)4 is excited by electrons, and its emission spectrum peaks at wavelengths of around 400 nm. The kinetics of CE(TMHD)4 are sensitive to pH, with higher concentrations of protons leading to faster rates of reaction. Crystals of CE(TMHD)4 are colorless in single-crystal x-ray diffraction experiments and can be obtained by crystallizing in oxygen-free conditions. CE(TMHD)4 can be used as a reagent to produce phosphors with different colors by doping with other elements such as Se or Al. The mechanism behind this process is not yet fully understood but may involve the formation of an intermediate compound called CEH (TMHE).
