Produktinformation
2-(3-bromophenyl)-1H-indole is a ligand that binds to benzodiazepine receptors. It is a halogenated, fluorinated and iodinated analog of the natural ligand. This drug has been used in receptor binding studies to investigate the effects of lipophilicity on receptor binding affinity. The compound also has high affinity for benzodiazepine receptors, which are located in the cerebral cortex and hippocampus. 2-(3-bromophenyl)-1H-indole has been labeled with a positron emitter (fluorine-18) and used as a radioligand to image benzodiazepine receptors in vivo.
