Beschreibung

Cis-3-aminocyclohexane-1-carboxylic acid, hydrochloride is a glycopeptide that is synthesized by the bacteria Streptomyces. It has been shown to be an inhibitor of protein synthesis and to bind to the ribosome. Cis-3-aminocyclohexane-1-carboxylic acid, hydrochloride inhibits the uptake of amino acids into cells by disrupting the function of synaptosomes. This agent also has been shown to possess anti-inflammatory properties. Cis-3-aminocyclohexane-1-carboxylic acid, hydrochloride binds to the chiral center of glycopeptides, which leads to kinetic and thermodynamic effects on their degradation in vivo. This agent is also able to form monolayers at high concentrations that are kinetically stable and thermodynamically more favorable than bulk liquid phases.
