10-Chloro-1-[(3S)-3-hydroxypyrrolidine-1-carbonyl]-3-phenyl-6,7-dihydrobenzo[A]quinolizin-4-one is a potent and selective activator of the extracellular signal regulated kinase (ERK) 1/2 signaling pathway. It has been shown to activate ERK 1/2 in a wide variety of cell types including human pancreatic cells, human cervical carcinoma cells, rat neurons and mouse fibroblasts. 10Chloro-1-[(3S)-3-hydroxypyrrolidine-1-carbonyl]-3-phenyl--6,7--dihydrobenzo[A]quinolizin--4--one is also an inhibitor of protein kinase C (PKC) signaling pathways.
