This chemical was also found to inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandin E2 in human neutrophils. It is hypothesized that RS 67506 hydrochloride may inhibit phospholipase A2, which would prevent the release of arachidonic acid from phospholipids into the cell membrane and block the production of eicosanoids.
