TBCPC has been shown to have an oral bioavailability of 100% and a half-life of 10 hours in rats. This compound also had no effect on the pharmacokinetic profile of other drugs, which could make it a good candidate for replacing other anti-HIV drugs. TBCPC has the potential to be developed as a ccr5 antagonist and may have potential applications in treating diseases such as cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and AIDS.
