- Guanidine, monohydriodide
- Guanidine hydriodide
Guanidinium iodide is a group P2 device. It has optical properties such as absorption and fluorescence. This salt is soluble in water and has functional groups that are hydrophilic. Guanidinium iodide is used in the production of perovskite solar cells, which have been shown to be more efficient than other solar cells. The thin film is created by spin coating a solution of guanidinium iodide onto a substrate and then heating the substrate to evaporate the solvent. The thin films of guanidinium iodide can be used as an interfacial layer for gel chromatography, which separates molecules based on their size and charge.
