Beschreibung:
2,5-Bis(4-bromophenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole is a phase transfer catalyst that can be used for Suzuki cross-coupling reactions in organic synthesis. It has been shown to be effective in catalyzing the reaction between boronic acids and aryl halides. This catalyst is also able to transfer two equivalents of hydrogen from one reactant to another without the use of an external hydrogen source. 2,5-Bis(4-bromophenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole's emission spectra are sensitive to pH changes and can be used to measure the concentration of protons or hydroxide ions in solution.
