Beschreibung

3,6-Dimethyl-1-heptyn-3-ol is a volatile compound that is found in leaves of the plant Elongata. It has been shown to function as an attractant and pheromone for insects and also as a natural insecticide. 3,6-Dimethyl-1-heptyn-3-ol has been shown to inhibit the activity of many different types of enzymes, including antioxidant enzymes such as pluchea. This study shows that 3,6-dimethyl 1 heptyn 3 ol has significant inhibition activity against hexane oxidation.
