Produktinformation
- 1,3-Bis(4-Chlorophenyl)Prop-2-En-1-One
- (2E)-1,3-bis(4-chlorophenyl)prop-2-en-1-one
4,4'-Dichlorochalcone is a synthetic analog of chalcones. It has been shown to have antiulcer activity and could potentially be used for the treatment of ulcers. 4,4'-Dichlorochalcone has a dihedral angle of 180°, which makes it bifunctional. The chlorine atom at position 1 is not part of the aromatic system and can react with an alkali metal ion to form a chloride ion that is more reactive than a hydrogen atom. This makes it an excellent candidate for reactions that require an acid-base reaction.
