Levomedetomidine is a sedative-hypnotic agent that belongs to the class of α2-adrenergic agonists. It has a variety of physiological effects, including anesthetic and analgesic properties. Levomedetomidine has been shown to have a high degree of solubility in water, which is greater than dexmedetomidine.
