Beschreibung:
N-Acetyl-Asp-Glu-Val-Asp-al is a synthetic compound that has been shown to inhibit the apoptosis pathway. It induces apoptosis in human HL60 cells, a model system for human myeloid leukemia, by activating caspase 3 and inducing neuronal death. N-Acetyl-Asp-Glu-Val-Asp-al also increases oxidative injury and cell death by inhibiting the activity of caspases. This compound has potential as an inhibitor of caspases, which are enzymes that play an important role in the process of apoptosis.
