1-Chloro-3-(naphthalen-1-yloxy)propan-2-ol is a reactive, insensitive, and stereoselective chemical that can be used as a reagent for the preparation of compounds with lipase activity. It is also an organic solvent that is used in kinetic studies. This compound has been shown to be an effective blocker of the enzyme trichosporon and has antiarrhythmic properties. The amino acid sequence of this chemical was determined by high performance liquid chromatography and mass spectroscopy analysis.
