1,1'-Bixycyclohexane-4,4'-diol is a mixture of isomers that includes 1,1'-bi(cyclohexane)-4,4'-diol and 1,2'-bi(cyclohexane)-4,4'-diol. The alkoxy group in this compound can be replaced by an alkyl group or an aryl group. This compound has a flexible conformation and is said to be a good diepoxy. It has been shown to have high yield in the manufacture of acid halides.
