Beschreibung

Diisobutyl cyclohexane-1,2-dicarboxylate (DIBDC) is a chelating agent that is used in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. It has been shown to reduce the toxicity of metal ions such as lead and mercury by stabilizing the metal ions, thus preventing them from reacting with cells. DIBDC has also been shown to inhibit polymerization reactions, which are important for the production of polymers and plastics. DIBDC can be recycled from waste streams by distillation or evaporation processes. DIBDC may be used as an organic solvent for chemical synthesis. The oxidation products of DIBDC are butyric acid, which is toxic to plants and animals, and acetic acid, which is corrosive to skin and eyes.
