Beschreibung:
2-(4-Nitrophenoxy)naphthalene can be used as a catalyst in the transformation of ethers to their corresponding hydrocarbons. This is an aerobic reaction, which yields high yields. The coupling reaction is catalyzed by a diaryliodonium salt and 2-(4-nitrophenoxy)naphthalene. The use of this efficient catalyst system can lead to the formation of phenols or aryl iodides from diaryliodonium salts and aryl halides.
