Beschreibung:
1-Methyl-3-(3-oxocyclohex-1-en-1-yl)azepan-2-one is a synthetic chemical that is used in the preparation of other drugs. It is synthesized by reacting methanol with chloroform, followed by hydrochloric acid and dropwise addition of hydrochloric acid to a solution of dichloromethane. The reaction proceeds at room temperature and produces a high yield. 1-Methyl-3-(3-oxocyclohex-1-en-1-yl)azepan 2 one is currently being used as a precursor in the preparation of Dronabinol, an antiemetic drug.
