Beschreibung:POVPC is a zirconium oxide that has been used in the production of artificial joints, dental implants, and bone replacements. It has also been used to coat catheters and other medical devices to prevent infection. POVPC is an antioxidant with strong anti-inflammatory properties, inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators such as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-1β (IL-1β). It also inhibits nuclear factor kappa B (NFκB), which is involved in the inflammatory response. The use of POVPC has been shown to reduce atherosclerotic lesion size in mice by inhibiting the production of reactive oxygen species and reducing oxidative stress.
