Remetinostat
Beschreibung:
Remetinostat is a pyrimidine compound that binds to the histone protein, thereby preventing the formation of inflammatory skin diseases. It also suppresses suppressor genes and chemokines, which may be responsible for the suppression of inflammation. Remetinostat has been shown to have a positive effect on patients with t-cell lymphomas and skin cancer. The drug is currently in clinical trials for treatment of other types of cancer, including breast and lung cancer. In addition, remetinostat was shown to deacetylate citric acid and lower the pH in cultured cells, which may be related to its anti-cancer activity.
