Produktinformation
Bone morphogenetic protein (BBMP) is a protein that is involved in bone growth. It is produced by bone cells and osteoblasts, and stimulates the growth of bone cells. BBMP can be used as a diagnostic tool to measure the rate of transport of hydroxyl ions across cell membranes. It has also been shown to produce pluripotent stem cells from hematopoietic cells. BBMP stimulates the proliferation of monolayer cultures of animal or human fibroblasts, which are used as a model system for wound healing. The rate at which these cultures grow can be measured using an assay for cell proliferation on the surface of these cultures. This assay measures the number of cells that are attached to the culture surface after a certain time period.
