Produktinformation
- Aziridinecarboxylicacid,1,1-dimethylethylester
N-(tert-Butoxycarbonyl)aziridine is a synthetic chemical compound that is used in organic synthesis as a catalyst. The enolate of the aziridine reacts with electrophiles to form an intermediate that can undergo either nucleophilic or electrophilic attack. This reaction is stereoselective and produces an erythro- or threo-isomer. N-(tert-Butoxycarbonyl)aziridine also has antiviral activity, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the influenza virus from entering cells. This drug binds to the viral protein hemagglutinin, preventing it from attaching to host cells and inhibiting viral replication. It also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to bind amines and benzoates and prevent their oxidation by free radicals.
