Beschreibung

Rac-hesperetin is a natural flavonoid that has been shown to have potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Rac-hesperetin has been shown to inhibit the production of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) in human monocytes and macrophages, as well as in cancer cells. It also inhibits the activity of cyclooxygenase enzymes, which are involved in prostaglandin synthesis. This inhibition leads to decreased inflammation, pain relief, and an increase in insulin sensitivity. Rac-hesperetin is also effective against cervical cancer cells and has been shown to inhibit the growth of lung cancer cells. The mechanism for this effect is not known; however, it may be due to its ability to bind to glycosylated proteins or its ability to form complexes with functional groups on proteins or DNA.
