Kukoamine C is a compound that is structurally similar to dopamine. Kukoamine C has also been shown to inhibit platelet activation and have some anticancer properties. Kukoamine C is a substrate for several enzymes, including dopamine-β-hydroxylase, which converts it into hydroxytyramine, a compound that has been shown to inhibit bladder cancer cell growth by inducing apoptosis.
