Beschreibung

Miroestrol is a secondary metabolite of plants. It is an estrogenic phytochemical that has been shown to be bioactive in vitro and in vivo. Miroestrol is used as an analytical reference standard for HPLC standards and as a screening tool for natural products. Miroestrol has been isolated from plants such as Angelica gigas, Angelica pubescens, and Angelica sinensis; the chemical structure of miroestrol was first determined in 1967 by a team of chemists at the University of Tokyo.
