• Beschreibung: Evogliptin is an oral anti-diabetic drug that belongs to the class of dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors. It is a potent inhibitor of P-glycoprotein, which may affect its absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion. Evogliptin has been shown to reduce the risk of congestive heart failure in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus by reducing inflammation and oxidative stress. The pharmacokinetics of evogliptin have been studied in vitro using human macrophages and in vivo using healthy volunteers and patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Evogliptin also reduces hepatic steatosis and hepatic impairment as well as human macrophages.
