Beschreibung:Palonosetron is a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist that is used to treat nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy. It has a high affinity for the 5-HT3 receptor, but it does not inhibit other serotonin receptors. 6-Oxo-(S,S)-palonosetron is an inhibitor of the enzyme protein interactions that are responsible for the activation of the 5-HT3 receptor. It also binds to the Ligand binding site of the 5-HT3 receptor and blocks signaling to downstream ion channels. Palonosetron has been shown to be an activator of the 5-HT3 receptor in vitro and in vivo. This drug is water soluble with a purity level over 99%. Palonosetron can be used as a research tool or as an antibody reagent.
